EarBuds Podcast Collective: *Debate This*

How EarBuds Podcast Collective works: EarBuds Podcast Collective is a podcast recommendation engine. We send a weekly email with a theme and five podcast episodes on that theme, and each week is curated by a different person. It’s the best way to discover new podcasts! Since 2017, we’ve recommended over 500 podcasts curated by more than 100 people. Join our community and listen up!

THIS WEEK’S THEME:
Debate This: Women will be the tidal wave of change that alters democracy as we know it

WHY THIS THEME:

The 2020 election is already shaping up to be monumental in many ways. We’ve seen more candidates enter the race, and more impressively, diverse candidates running on various progressive platforms. June 26th kicks off the first round of Democratic debates. Part of our mission at Wonder Media Network is to use stories like the ones we’ve shared in this list with you today to inspire action, promote equality, and introduce empathy into politics, business, and culture. We have a long road to reaching parity, especially in politics. But when we push important conversations forward, we get closer and closer to enacting change at every level.

SOMETHING TO SHARE:

Listen to the newest podcast from Wonder Media Network, Encyclopedia Womannica, a new 5-minute daily about some of the most revolutionary and unique women from throughout history.  Every month has a rotating theme. For example, this month we’ve been featuring Pioneers — women who accomplished some kind of first. In July, we’re highlighting Dreamers — women whose dreams and creativity changed our realities.

Monday: Encyclopedia Womannica – Shirley Chisholm

Tuesday: Web of WMN – On Working in the White House, Losing Campaigns, & Fixing Democracy

Wednesday: The Brown Girls Guide to Politics – Stacey Abrams: “This is about our future

Thursday: Web of WMN – On Intergenerational Activism, Big Tech, & the 2020 Election

Friday: Women Belong in the House – What Comes Next

Arielle Nissenblatt

Arielle is the founder and lead curator at EarBuds Podcast Collective, a listening movement started in January 2017. EarBuds sends out a weekly email with a theme and 5 podcast episodes on that theme, each week curated by a different person from within the Collective! Anyone can sign up to curate a list, as we hope that we'll explore topics that we wouldn't have come across on our own. We are expanding the movement, and we now produce and execute storytelling shows in cities throughout the U.S. on the theme *listening.*
