EarBuds Podcast Collective: *First Anniversary Gifts*

How EarBuds Podcast Collective works:

Each week, a theme is chosen by one of our curators. That curator finds 5 podcast episodes (from anywhere!) to go along with that theme. Listen to these podcasts by clicking on the links above, through the RadioPublic app, or you can find (most of) them on your favorite podcast app (iTunes, Stitcher, Overcast…)

PODCAST CURATOR’S NAME: Arielle Nissenblatt, founder of EarBuds Podcast Collective and Podcast Studio Manager at Village Podcasting

WHY THIS THEME?: One year ago, I sent out the first EarBuds podcast recommendation email to about 35 people. We’ve grown A LOT since then and I want to celebrate with the traditional gift for first anniversaries: PAPER. All of these podcasts relate, in some way, to paper!

MONDAY EPISODE (2/12):
Lavar Burton Reads – The Paper Menagerie” by Ken Liu – 52 minutes

TUESDAY EPISODE (2/13):
Mifflinfinity – The Dundies – 42 minutes

WEDNESDAY EPISODE (2/14):
Stuff You Should Know – A Dry Look at Toilet Paper – 56 minutes

THURSDAY EPISODE (2/15):
Politics Weekly Podcast – The Panama Papers – 30 minutes

FRIDAY EPISODE (2/16):
Planet Money Trash! – 14 minutes

SHAMELESS PROMO: Have you been enjoying this email for the past year? Spread the word, get your friends to sign up (send them THIS link), and let’s make year 2 even better!

CROWDSOURCING QUESTION: Will we be using paper in 100 years?

HASHTAG FOR DISCUSSION: #EarBudsAnniversary

Arielle Nissenblatt

Arielle is the founder and lead curator at EarBuds Podcast Collective, a listening movement started in January 2017. EarBuds sends out a weekly email with a theme and 5 podcast episodes on that theme, each week curated by a different person from within the Collective! Anyone can sign up to curate a list, as we hope that we'll explore topics that we wouldn't have come across on our own. We are expanding the movement, and we now produce and execute storytelling shows in cities throughout the U.S. on the theme *listening.*
