EarBuds Podcast Collective: *Podcasts Just for Kids!*

How EarBuds Podcast Collective works:

Each week, a theme is chosen by one of our curators. That curator finds 5 podcast episodes (from anywhere!) to go along with that theme. Listen to these podcasts by clicking on the links above, through the RadioPublic app, or you can find (most of) them on your favorite podcast app (iTunes, Stitcher, Overcast…)

PODCAST CURATOR’S NAME: Jonathan Messinger, writer and producer of The Alien Adventures of Finn Caspian (along with his 8-year-old son, Griffin, who’s Jonathan’s editor).

WHY THIS THEME?: Some of the most creative work in the podcasting world is going into shows made just for kids. Podcast-loving people everywhere will dig these episodes, too.

SHAMELESS PROMO: Along with making Finn Caspian, I co-chair a non-profit called Kids Listen, whose mission is to support creators making podcasts for kids, and set standards around quality and content. And we just released an app full of shows just for kids!

CROWD-SOURCING QUESTION: What kind of podcast—that doesn’t exist yet—do you think your kid would love?

Arielle Nissenblatt

Arielle is the founder and lead curator at EarBuds Podcast Collective, a listening movement started in January 2017. EarBuds sends out a weekly email with a theme and 5 podcast episodes on that theme, each week curated by a different person from within the Collective! Anyone can sign up to curate a list, as we hope that we'll explore topics that we wouldn't have come across on our own. We are expanding the movement, and we now produce and execute storytelling shows in cities throughout the U.S. on the theme *listening.*
