EarBuds Podcast Collective: *Speaking Social Justice*

How EarBuds Podcast Collective works:

Each week, a theme is chosen by one of our curators. That curator finds 5 podcast episodes (from anywhere!) to go along with that theme. Listen to these podcasts by clicking on the links above, through the RadioPublic app, or you can find (most of) them on your favorite podcast app (iTunes, Stitcher, Overcast…)

PODCAST CURATOR’S NAME: Olivia James, co-host of the Super Serious Social Justice podcast

WHY THIS THEME?: Podcasting has historically been — and remains — dominated by white men. However, there are still tons of amazing podcasts out there that address issues relevant to other demographics. This selection highlights some of those podcasts.

MONDAY EPISODE (3/26): The Vocal Fries – Grammar Not-zi – 42 minutes

TUESDAY EPISODE (3/27): Gender Reveal – Carlos the Rollerblader – 28 minutes

WEDNESDAY EPISODE (3/28): Super Serious Social Justice – Things I Learned in Therapy 66 minutes

THURSDAY EPISODE (3/29): Tamarindo – Decolonize Your Beauty, Decolonize Your Diet – 56 minutes

FRIDAY EPISODE (3/30): Your Fave is Problematic – George Washington – 71 minutes

SHAMELESS PROMO: In addition to podcasting, I also have a blog, Aut of Spoons, in which I discuss autism, mental health, feminism, and more! I’d love it if you checked out the deepest, darkest, thoughts in my head.

Arielle Nissenblatt

Arielle is the founder and lead curator at EarBuds Podcast Collective, a listening movement started in January 2017. EarBuds sends out a weekly email with a theme and 5 podcast episodes on that theme, each week curated by a different person from within the Collective! Anyone can sign up to curate a list, as we hope that we'll explore topics that we wouldn't have come across on our own. We are expanding the movement, and we now produce and execute storytelling shows in cities throughout the U.S. on the theme *listening.*
