EarBuds Podcast Collective: *Sustainable Living*

How EarBuds Podcast Collective works:

Each week, a theme is chosen by one of our curators. That curator finds 5 podcast episodes (from anywhere!) to go along with that theme. Listen to these podcasts by clicking on the links above, through the RadioPublic app, or you can find (most of) them on your favorite podcast app (iTunes, Stitcher, Overcast…)

PODCAST CURATOR’S NAME: Marianne West, host of the Sustainable Living podcast

WHY THIS THEME?: Sustainable living and beyond has been on my mind for a long time. We have the responsibility to figure out how we can leave a planet for our children and theirs that is a pleasure to live on. It is time that we, the people, take matters into our hands; we can’t afford to sit back and trust that others will take care of the problems we are facing.

MONDAY EPISODE (2/19):
Sustainable World Radio – Urban Herbs: Growing Medicinal Plants in the City – 54 minutes

Jill and Bonnie Rose Weaver discuss growing medicinal herbs in an urban environment as a business.

TUESDAY EPISODE (2/20):
Earth Repair Radio – Mark Lakeman: Riding the Wave of Sea Level Rise – 59 minutes

Andrew Millison teaches permaculture on the university Level and also is presenting a free permaculture course in April. In this Interview with Mark Lakeman, they address the issue of rising sea levels and what that means for coastal communities.

WEDNESDAY EPISODE (2/21):
Do the Work – The Most Expensive Thing You DON’T Own – 20 minutes

Diego, a stay-at-home dad, makes a living podcasting about regenerative projects after leaving a well-paying job in finance to spend time with his daughters while they are young.

THURSDAY EPISODE (2/22):
The Survival Podcast – Listener Feedback – 93 minutes

Jack, who has deep roots in the survival/prepper and permaculture communities, devotes a show to listener questions about a cryptocurrency-based marketplace, homeschooling, debt reduction, and more

FRIDAY EPISODE (2/23):

Arielle Nissenblatt

Arielle is the founder and lead curator at EarBuds Podcast Collective, a listening movement started in January 2017. EarBuds sends out a weekly email with a theme and 5 podcast episodes on that theme, each week curated by a different person from within the Collective! Anyone can sign up to curate a list, as we hope that we'll explore topics that we wouldn't have come across on our own. We are expanding the movement, and we now produce and execute storytelling shows in cities throughout the U.S. on the theme *listening.*
