Reality TV star, philanthropist, entrepreneur, author and producer Bethenny Frankel is mentioning it all on her new podcast, Just B with Bethenny Frankel. While podcasting may be a new venture for Bethenny, her multifaceted experience has primed her to have real and honest conversations with some of the biggest names in business and entertainment.

Debuting this week, Just B with Bethenny Frankel quickly rose to #4 on the Apple Podcast episodes chart and the #1 podcast in the society and culture category.

Bethenny’s journey to podcasting began with her Sirius XM radio show, B Real with Bethenny on Andy Cohen’s channel back in 2016. While this show was short lived, it certainly made an impression. Even years later, after hosting her own TV talk show and a return to the Real Housewives of New York City, Andy continued to encourage Bethenny to host a podcast. Andy believed she was “born to do it” so he introduced her to Spotify. While a deal with Spotify didn’t work out, it was through another project with Endeavor Content that led to Just B with Bethenny Frankel

“I’ve never listened to a podcast. I’ve never subscribed to a podcast, obviously. I went into it really without a big plan” Frankel tells Discover Pods, but you’d never know after listening to just the first 5 minutes of her premiere episodes. She is a natural interviewer and quickly adds her business acumen to any conversation. In her first episode, Bethenny interviews entrepreneur, Mark Cuban. They instantly connect on how to take new ideas and turn them into a viable business. They continue to cover a variety of topics including the impacts of celebrities and their tweets, how to raise children in a digital technology world, and Mark Cuban’s relationship with Donald Trump.

As Bethenny says in her second episode, “I love to rant … I don’t wear a costume to filter my life” which seems to adequately describe the theme running through her podcast. Each episode naturally flows from one topic to the next, you’d think you were overhearing a conversation between two friends. While the tone may be that of a friendly conversation, the topics discussed are meaningful and timely. In her second episode, Bethenny interviews Netflix CMO, Bozoma Saint John, who remarks that as a woman, being underestimated in business is frustrating but can also work to your advantage. In the way that when you surprise your colleagues with your knowledge you can say, “yeah, I just did that while wearing sequins.”

Bethenny’s guest list is envious of those with years of podcasting experience. In her upcoming episodes, she speaks with Dana White, Paris Hilton, and Mary Ann Reilly. As Bethenny tells Discover Pods, she could easily talk fluff gossip with her guests, but she’s not looking for that gotcha moment. Instead, she tells us that her goal is to provide “amazing wisdom and advice, but in a totally humorous, digestible manner.” When asked about guests she’d like to have in the future, Frankel immediately rattled off “Mark Zuckerberg, (hedge fund managers) Steve Cohen and Ken Griffin, Oprah, Trump, Ellen (Degeneres).”

If you’re looking to learn about how some of the biggest entertainers and entrepreneurs tick and for a laugh, then Just B with Bethenny Frankel is just the ticket.
