The Fitness Confidential podcast is the brainchild of celebrity fitness trainer Vinnie Tortorich, author of a book with the same title. Vinnie, along with a plethora of expert guests, and co-host, cookbooker Anna Vocino, dispenses sound nutritional and fitness advice, in a funny, entertaining way. The podcast focuses on whole-life wellness and includes a diverse range of podcasts like Overcoming Emotional Obstacles with Weight Loss, Beating Leukemia with Family Support, Brain Functions and Ketones, and Getting to the Gym While Traveling. More importantly Vince usually has a relevant expert on the podcast who easily explains and answer questions for listeners.

If you like a healthy dose of inspiration in your health and wellness diet, Hurdle is the podcast for you. Host Emily Abbate, a self-described fitness aficionado, reaches out to and converses with a diverse range of people, ranging from Fortune 500 CEOs to average Joes, who have used health and fitness as a crutch to overcome challenging times, or hurdles. They share with you their personal conflicts and struggles, how focusing on wellness help them to defeat their demons, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Australian-based The Health Code Podcast features health and fitness YouTuber Sarah Stevenson (aka Sarah’s Day) and her personal trainer boyfriend, Kurt Tilse. Their chemistry palpable, this dynamic duo sets their podcast apart from traditional health and fitness podcasts by focusing not just on the tried-and-true subjects of fitness, health, and wellness, but also topics such as life goals, building self-confidence, career goals, and relationships. Sarah’s spunky, can-do attitude combined with her witty, back-and-forth banter with her fitness-savvy partner, Kurt, makes for a fun, yet informative, podcast that leaves listeners not only feeling good, but eager and anxious to take on whatever life has in store for them.

Brought to us by Precision Nutrition, the Eat, Move, and Live Better podcast is the most nutrition-based podcast on our list. Surprisingly, although sponsored by the self-described “home of the world’s top nutrition coaches”, is devoid of the usual sales pitch type fluff sponsored podcast normally push. Instead, listeners are treated to solid, research-based content from qualified professionals who break down and explain complex nutrition and health coaching concepts in a straightforward, no nonsense, easy-to-comprehend way that makes sense. By breaking nutrition and health habits into small steps, Eat, Move, and Live Better shows listeners that the journey to a healthier life. The podcast realizes and conveys that everyone is different and no diet or fitness plan fits all.

7. The Dumbbells

Combining comedy with fitness may be unorthodox, but The Dumbbells pulls it off flawlessly. Improv comedians, Eugene Cordero and Ryan Stanger use self-deprecating humor as a backdrop for their podcast where they answer questions from fellow comedians on health and fitness. The Ultimate Health Podcast is hosted by former chiropractor Jesse Chappus along with author and nutritionist Marni Wasserman. The pair regularly interview health and fitness experts where they delve into a virtual cornucopia of wellness issues running the gamut from lifestyle and nutrition, sleep habits and meditation, to self-help and meditation. Jesse and Marni’s informative and helpful content is entertaining as well and earned them a devoted legion of listeners.
