If you get to the point in your life where you have a few hundred dollars a month to spare, investing is a good way to potentially double it. Unfortunately as is with most things, it is easier said than done.

Investing is one of the most important steps you should take when it comes to your finances and it is also one of the most ignored. And if you are in your twenties thinking you have years before you have to invest- think again.

If you do not start saving until 45, you will have to save three times as much as if you had started at 25.

Gaining as much investing and personal finance knowledge as possible should always be on your priority list if you plan on putting your money into stocks or other investments.

The awesome part about investing podcasts is that it is free to listen to them and you can literally take a deep dive into investing while you drive to work.

Simply switching from listening to your usual playlist to an awesome podcast could help you discover golden nuggets of knowledge.

I am going to go ahead and cover 10 of my favorite investing podcasts that I believe are worth listening to. This should give you a few ideas to get started with-

1. The Investor’s Podcast

The Investor’s Podcast grabs the first place on our list because it gives you a bird’s eye view of everything going on in the investing world. It is also the most downloaded stock podcast across the world.

The Investor’s podcast network has a range of podcasts under its network umbrella but the most popular among them is the ‘We Study Billionaires’ podcast where they take a deep dive into the profiles of famous billionaires and their attitudes towards finance.

It is an amazing podcast to listen to if you need a little investment inspiration. Some of the profiles they have talked about in episodes include Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerberg, and Howard Marks.

The podcast is outlined in a way wherein the hosts, Preston Pysh and Stig Brodersen, use their extensive knowledge in the field of finance to give you advice you can take with you when you invest in the stock market. They do this by taking a deep dive into various billionaire investing stories.

One of the most unique qualities is that it keeps things interesting while focusing on the relatively dry subject of investing which is why it is so popular.

2. Bigger Pockets (Best for Real Estate Investors)

The Bigger Pockets podcast is co-hosted by Brandon Turner, Joshua Dorkin, and David Greene with new episodes being released every Thursday. The investing style it focuses on is real estate and each episode includes an interview with a real estate investor or entrepreneur.

It is the casual conversational vibe of the podcast that lets you take a glance into the lives of people who have successfully invested in real estate. If you are looking for awesome tips to help you start your investing journey, this is a good place to start.

3. Money for the Rest of Us (Best for Investors who are doing it on their own)

Hosted by David Stein, Money for the Rest of Us is the perfect podcast for an investor that wants to take the reins and invest in the stock market without the help of a professional backing him.

The podcast was started by Stein who is a money manager himself with the idea that he could help people invest better and have a chance at a more comfortable retirement. The podcast covers a wide range of topics such as income share agreements, alternative investments, and closed-end funds.

4. Masters of Scale by Reid Hoffman (Best Podcast Host)

Reid Hoffman is the co-founder of Linkedin and partner at the venture capital firm Greylock Partners. Hoffman has an amazing way of explaining various investing techniques and ideas while keeping the listener entertained.

The podcast is centered around him talking about people that made their companies successes. He shares what he believes are the reasons why these startups became multi-million dollar companies.

Since he himself is the founder of LinkedIn, you can also expect some pretty cool tips on messaging recruiters, starting your own business, and making a name for yourself online.

5. Capital Allocators (Best for Capital Allocation)

Hosted by Ted Seides, Capital Allocators focuses on interviewing people who allocate large amounts of capital. Each episode will take you behind the scenes and show you what the process is like from various points of view.

Some of the topics he has covered recently include investing opportunities that have come out of the COVID-19 pandemic, asset management, and various investing philosophies.

6. Investing Insights from Morningstar (Best for Experts)

Investing Insights is a podcast created by the Chicago based Morningstar. It covers various changes in the market, fund manager interviews, investing tips, insights into market developments, and more.

If you already have a pretty good understanding of various investments, Investing Insights is a good podcast to listen to keep up to date on any market changes that may (or should) affect your future decisions.

7. Motley Fool Money (Best Weekly Investing Update)

Think of Motley Fool Money as the podcast version of the business pages in your daily newspaper. A panel of investment analysts will take a deep dive into any major business news and financial headlines.

The analysts lead by the host, Chris Hill, will then go on to talk about how these changes may affect your investments, the stock market, and more. New episodes are uploaded every Friday so it is a good way to unwind and get a quick investing update. Most episodes are about 38 minutes long.

8. Invest Like The Best (Best for Beginners)

Invest Like The Best is hosted by Patrick O’Shaughnessy and is the perfect introduction to the world of investing. He tackles the basics of various investment ideas by inviting on experts in the field and successful investors.

The only prep you need to take care of is to know a few financial terms because they are used quite a lot during the podcast. It very much mirrors a tutorial like a format and you can expect topics like cryptocurrency investments, the future of software businesses, and investing in 483 companies to be covered.

9. Listen Money Matters (Most Relaxed Approach to Investing)

Andrew Fiebert and Matt Giovanisci host the laid back and funny Listen Money Matters podcast that deals with personal finance jargon head-on and makes it simple and easily digestible information.

You can lean back with a beer and relax into each episode because it does not feel like a lesson at all. The friendly, funny, relatable, and awesome approach to investing is perfect for people who lose interest quickly.

Recent topics included rental properties, buying income-producing websites, investing in online businesses, and dividend stocks. This podcast is perfect for bloggers who are working on link building, keyword research, creating content, and growing their online biz since it focuses largely on online businesses.

10. The College Investor (Best for Young Investors)

If you are still in college, low on money, and confused about finance, this podcast is for you. It focuses on a crowd that wants to get started investing as soon as possible whether that is in their twenties or even their late teens.

The advice takes into account a low budget, not much flexibility, and a lack of knowledge. It is a good listen for people who want to get a head start with investing.

Conclusion

Whether you have been investing for years or have just put your first dollar into the stock market, you should always focus on learning something new as each day goes by.

Investing is extremely important to better your finances and it is important to realize that the possibilities are endless- you can invest in an online business such as a software based model (something like Woven, my favorite scheduling software, is a good example of this), in something super niched down like an ERP software, or even a brick and mortar business.

Listening to a podcast on your way to work or while you finish your daily chores could really change your view on investing and how you tackle it. You could discover a new company, think of a new strategy, or simply become more confident in your abilities. No matter which it is, investing in your future finances is never a bad decision.
